      Dr. Susan Fischer was born in Maine in 1960.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999 from SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, where she graduated Beta Sigma Kappa. 

            Her externship was completed at SUNY College of Optometry in New York, where she worked with ophthalmologists in the treatment and management of glaucoma, pre- and post-op cataract care, retinal disease, corneal disease and surgery, and neuro-ophthalmology.     

            She completed additional externships at West Point Military College in Highland Falls, NY, and Hudson Valley Veterans Administration Hospital in Castle Point, NY, where she worked in the Primary Care and Glaucoma/Retinal Disease centers. 

            She is licensed as a Doctor of Optometry in New York State, Georgia, and New Hampshire.  When not working as an optometrist, she enjoys singing, horseback riding, ice skating, reading, and church activities.
